MONTHLY TUITION (REGULAR DANCE SEASON)
By taking multiple classes, individual dancers & families benefit from great reduced rates as explained at the bottom of the table.

*****Tuition is the same every month for convenience purposes whether it is a short or long month - we have calculated the cost for the YEAR and divided into 11 equal payments to make life easier for our families. (August-June)

We do not prorate for missed classes, all dancers are welcome to make-up missed classes at their convenience - contact us for appropriate make up classes anytime!

All dance families place a credit/debit card on file at the time of registration, but you CAN pay by another method if you choose - this simply requires that we receive payment by check or money order (no cash) by the close of business on the 1st (or, if this falls on a Sunday or Holiday, 6pm on the business day prior). Each dance family has 24/7 access to their account and can check their balances by signing in here. Any account balance for the month will AUTOMATICALLY be charged to the card on file at roughly 10:00pm on the 1st, and because it is an electrionic operation, processing still occurs if the 1st is a Sunday or Holiday. 98% of our customers use auto-pay every month, but for those who prefer check or money order - that's no problem! (as long as its received in time as explained above). If the card is declined, or check does not clear, you'll be notified and will have until the 10th to pay in full by alternate method ($25 fee for returned checks). Most often this is due to expired/stolen cards and you can change those at any time by signing in. Please be assured, we have been using this system for two years with no issues - the web payment system is SSL and completely safe. Your card number is not visible to anyone except you.

*due with March tution unless you select equal-payment option, non-refundable.

***We are often asked, why does the Recital Fee NOT include any tickets?

Well, we've found over the past decade or so that each family's ticket needs for their dancers' Fan Clubs (as we like to call them) are very, very individual. By allowing complete flexibility in that area, each family can decide on numbers of seats and also location/levels of seating in the way that works best for them (just like at any real theater show!) We do rent a beautiful facility for these shows because we feel that part of dancing is performing, and that after a year's work, the dancers deserve to SHINE on their BIG DAY!! We realize some disagree with us, and of course, participation is 100% optional. The Holiday Show is a much lower-key option (no programs, no photos, no videos), with lower costume costs, at a smaller venue, and with fixed low-cost seating. Despite the difference in cost between the two shows, t has been our experience, that 95% of all enrolled dancers participate in BOTH! While the Holiday show is a fun first look at what the dancers have been working on in class, the Recital provides that BIG EVENT that kids love to be involved in, and our dance families love having fantastic pictures and videos to show for it for years to come - not to mention the dancers' memories of being stars on a big stage in a real theater! Ticket prices for recital range from roughly $15-30 per seat and do NOT earn us a profit, they pay for the rental of our facility & allof the hours the event-day staff puts in, as well as the food we provide for all audience members at our Recital shows. We have carefully chosen a venue where all seats are great!

EQUAL MONTHLY PAYMENT PLAN

We do offer an option to divide associated dance costs over 5 months - November through March!
Holiday Show shirts, Recital Costumes, and Recital Family Fees (which include Photo Day Sitting fees, Recital Programs, downloadable practice music, private web pages for each class with video practice assistance, Dress Rehearsal costs, Recital Day gifts for the dancers, and also a professional-quality DVD of your dancers performance for every family) can be divided up over these fivemonthly tuition payments to make things convenient! Information will be distributed to you just after the season begins so that you may take advantage of this popular option - if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask!

JCD (competition) & CDS (performance) Team Fees
Just like any sport, becoming more involved in dance is not only rewarding, but requires commitment of time and also family & financial support. As the years move on, we are finding & successfully implementing more and more ways to help our dance families nurture their dancers' talents at lower costs...that being said, doing things well is not inexpensive when costumes, training, choreographers, conventions, competition fees, and travel are involved. We do everything we can to make things convenient and less hassle for our families as well as constantly re-evaluating costs to try and open the opportunities to more and more young dancers, because it is our goal to continue our record of success with these intensive-level dancers - in just over a decade we have built and refined a program that has taken first-year dancers all the way to College Dance Team Captains & Professional Dancers around the globe! Early each summer we hold informational meetings about these teams, and detailed information about what it takes to be more involved at the studio, and take one of these two "next steps" will be shared at that time, based on what we have worked on all year for the following season - things are always changing at the Colby Center!
